Artist’s Statement: Not to be outdone by her big brother, who had a regular fishing rod, my granddaughter set herself up with her own fishing equipment. The wistful expression on her face, as she patiently waited for a bite, inspired the title.

Medium/Technique: This quilt was thread painted, machine appliquéd and quilted.
