Artist Statement: As the lake melts in its bed of water, the crystals become sculpted into a myriad of random shapes, any piece of which, when viewed in the sun, is as brilliant and beautiful as a jewel. This piece attempts to capture this random beauty.

Medium/ Technique: Raw edge machine appliqué, machine quilted, beads, thread painting, cottons and lamé.
